BIOGRAPHY

Soony Saad brings a wealth of experience and passion to the Michigan Wolves coaching staff. A product of the Wolves' youth system, Soony is a former Gatorade National Player of the Year and Michigan's Mr. Soccer. His journey from Dearborn High School to the international stage has been defined by both domestic and global achievements.

After a record-setting freshman year at the University of Michigan, Soony signed with Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer, launching a professional career that spanned more than a decade and included stints in five different countries.

Soony represented the Lebanon National team from 2013 to 2024, earning 38 caps and scoring 7 goals. He featured in the AFC Asian Cup, multiple World Cup qualification campaigns, and regional tournaments, making him one of Lebanon’s key attacking figures during his tenure.

As a coach, Soony is committed to developing the next generation of players, instilling in them the technical skills, professionalism, and competitive mindset that defined his own playing career. His unique international perspective adds valuable depth to the Michigan Wolves coaching philosophy.
