Michigan Hawks Announce Partnership with Legacy Soccer Organization
Livonia, Michigan (April 15, 2019) – The Michigan Hawks Soccer Club is excited to announce our new strategic partnership with Legacy Soccer Organization to form combined teams that will compete in the Elite Clubs National League starting June 2019. The combined teams will be called Hawks Legends. The first year will see the two clubs collaborate at two age groups: the 2006 and 2007 birth years. Hawks Legends will look to expand to younger age groups in future seasons.
The kinship between the Michigan Hawks and Legacy Soccer is best represented by the shared core values and similar player development models.
The Michigan Hawks commitment to elevating the women’s game and empowering every female player in the club has only gotten stronger. The Michigan Hawks are an all-in club in the Elite Clubs National League. Its unique position in Michigan allows the Hawks to offer its players with uninterrupted access to the top competition platforms in the country. Michigan Hawks teams and players have access to the methods and practices that have helped the Hawks excel at the national stage. Michigan Hawks players grow up to be, college team captains, national team members, successful professionals, they grow up to be amazing young women.
Speaking about the new strategic alliance, the Michigan Hawks newly appointed director of coaching, Michele Krzisnik states ”The Legends Soccer Organization is an obvious long term partner for the Michigan Hawks. Their staff and ours share symmetrical player development philosophies. In addition, the geography and demographics of both areas we serve, create prodigious opportunities for growth. We are also excited by the prospect of our players and coaches having access to the two best soccer facilities in the state of Michigan.”
The Legacy Soccer Organization was established to provide opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels by offering multiple tiers to provide appropriate competitiveness. Each tier and each team will have access to an elite facility and staff to further development as individuals and as players.
Players and coaches will represent themselves with class on and off the field. We will emphasize sportsmanship, character, and a respect for the game. Most importantly, each player will have the opportunity to mature and grow as student-athletes in the Legacy Soccer Organization.
Legends Soccer Organization’s Director, Ryan Carriere explained that, “the partnership offers two ambitious coaching staffs the opportunity to collaborate in one of the most competitive soccer environments. We are excited to partner with the Michigan Hawks to cultivate confident, cerebral soccer players via shared core values, and a proven player development model. Our Hawks Legends teams will continue to build the reputation trail blazed by the previous ECNL teams.”
The Michigan Hawks and Legacy Soccer Organization will work closely together in all key aspects to launch the partnership in June 2019, including:
- Access to the Elite Clubs National League
- Shared curriculum and individualized player development
- College recruiting guidance and exposure
- Sports science and performance training
- Additional training and game opportunities
- Events and tournament scheduling
