Hawks 03 weekend recap
The 03 Hawks played two very good McLean teams at this weekend’s East Coast Friendlies.
Game 1: Hawks 03 vs McLean 03:
The Hawks jumped out to a quick lead with Brooke Steere finding the back of the net first. She didn’t stop there. Brooke slashed through the defense scoring 4 goals as the Hawks midfield continued feed her the ball throughout the game. Defense was stingy only letting in one goal on the day. Samantha Woods added a Hawks goal for a final score of 5-1. It was a great start to the weekend.
Game 2: Hawks 03 vs McLean 02:
Game two proved to be tough vs the U17 Mid Atlantic Division’s first place team. It was a back and forth battle with McLean scoring first and the Hawks answering shortly after. A set piece just outside the box gave McLean their second goal, but the Hawks answered again. Finally Samantha Woods scored her 3rd goal of the game to secure the win.
The 03 Hawks look to continue their high level of play vs MTA this weekend at Home.
