The Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club is a premier level soccer club based in Livonia, Michigan that provides a unique opportunity for serious, skilled and dedicated soccer players. The Michigan Wolves-Hawks are part of the exciting future of soccer in the United States at the very highest level. In 2007, the Wolves were selected as one of 76 elite youth soccer clubs from around the country by the U.S. Soccer Federation Youth Development Academy program at the under-16 and under-18 age groups.
In 2010 we were selected for the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) for our girls in the U15 to U17 age groups. The ECNL will provide the highest-level league of girl’s youth soccer in the country, following a similar approach to that of the highly successful U.S. Soccer Development Academy on the boys’ side of youth soccer. The invitation-only league is designed to promote the most effective player development environment available for girls. In 2017 we were selected for the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) for our U14 to U19 boys.
The Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club offers age group teams for both boys (WOLVES) and girls (HAWKS) from under-7 through under-19. The under-7 through under-12 teams participate in the WSSL Select developmental program, the MSDSL developmental program or the Director’s Academy (DA) program. Boys and girls in the under-13 age group participate in the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP). The under-14 through under-19 age groups compete in the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP), Midwest Regional League (MRL), Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), and the Development Academy for boys. We also offer a cost effective Youth Academy for U6 – U8 boys and girls in both the fall and spring.
Our youth development program is a vital factor in our club’s growing success. As coaches and educators, we are well aware of the importance of providing a solid foundation for young players. The future development and success of a young player depends on receiving correct and relevant information at an early age. We have designed a curriculum that emphasizes age-specific technical skills combined with tactical decision-making to ensure the right information is received at the appropriate age level. We have strengthened our coaching staff to make certain our club leads the state in this essential area of player development. In addition to team practices, the club runs weekly technical training sessions and goalkeeping practices.
While the U.S. Soccer Development Academy and Elite Clubs National League is currently designed for the older age groups, the Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club will continue to emphasize player development at all age groups and with both the boys and girls teams. This will help to prepare each player to ultimately achieve his or her utmost potential.

THE WOLVES-HAWKS MISSION:
The Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club has over 40 years of experience developing Michigan’s best players and teams. We instill a love for the game in our young players and cultivate that passion as each athlete matures. We build pride in our individuals, our teams, and our club. We foster an environment that allows each player to experience the thrill of competition and participation, and the challenge of improvement. The Wolves-Hawks take pride in the growth of club members as athletes, students, and responsible young men and women.
The Wolves-Hawks organization has demonstrated tremendous success in recent years. The club has been represented at the US Youth Soccer National finals on a yearly basis and has won seven overall US Youth Soccer National Championships (in ’89, ’90, ’91, ’01, ’03, 04, and ’07). Fifteen gold stars appear within the Wolves-Hawks crest. Seven stars represent these US Youth Soccer Association National Championships; the eighth star reflects the Wolves’ U16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy National Championship in 2009, the ninth star represents the Hawks U18 ECNL National Championship in 2012, the tenth star reflects the U18 NPL National Championship victory in 2013, the eleventh star represents the U14 ECNL National Championship in 2014, the twelfth star represents the U18 ECNL National Championship in 2015, the thirteenth star represents the U17 ECNL National Championship in 2016, the fourteenth star represents the U18 ECNL National Championship in 2017 and the fifteenth star represents the U17 Hawks ECNL National Championship in 2017 . In addition, there have been 13 National Finalists, 36 Region II Championships, and well over 100 State Cup Champions.
The Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club has always been committed to player development. The club is proud to have fostered the growth of several players who are currently performing at the highest levels of our sport. Four ex-Wolves are playing in top professional leagues: Josh Gatt (Molde FK, Norway); Jacob Peterson (Toronto FC, MLS); Sean Cunningham (Molde FK, Norway); and Freddie Braun (Portland Timbers, MLS). Additionally, two former Hawks, Lindsay Tarpley and the recently retired Kate Sobrero-Markgraff, have been longstanding members of the US Women’s National Team. Further, the club has numerous current youth National, Regional, and State Olympic Development Program players.
Finally, the club has always made a strong commitment to placing student-athletes at top universities around the country and in assisting their search for college scholarships. Over the past decade, we have witnessed an inordinate number of college scholarships being awarded to our players. Our older players have shown the ability to combine athletics with academics and character. College coaches, on the other hand, recognize our young men and women as people who can both perform at the highest level of competitive soccer and excel in the classroom. This is truly a winning combination: student-athletes who are skillful, disciplined, and balanced.
