Originally from Liverpool, England, Shaun played professionally and semi-professionally for Morecambe FC (2005–2006), Fleetwood Town FC (2006–2008), and Southport FC (2008–2011).

He moved to the United States in 2011 and has since coached at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. Shaun joined the Michigan Wolves in 2017 and currently serves as the U11 and U12 Age Group Director, as well as head coach in both the MLS Next and Directors Academy programs.

He holds a US Soccer 'B' License and a United Soccer Coaches 'National' Diploma.
