Great weekend for all the 10-month Hawks teams!
The ’00 Hawks qualified for the DA National Playoffs with a 3-0 win in Kalamazoo vs FC United. Two goals by Natalie Viggiano and one by Sam Lopez combined with a Maya Bellomo shutout, gave the Hawks the 3 points they needed to secure their spot in San Diego.
The ’01 Hawks continued their unbeaten run of 8 games with at 4-1 victory over Shattuck in Minnesota positioning themselves to take a wildcard spot for the DA National Playoffs. The Hawks were led by Sydney Kloosterman’s two goals and strong goalkeeping by Maciah Lipsey.
The ’02 Hawks won both of their games at the ECNL PDA Showcase, 4-0 vs Jacksonville and 2-0 today vs San Diego Surf. The Hawks got 2 goals in the first game by Michelle Cooper and two more on Sunday . Both shutouts were shared by Haley Craig and Riley Moore. The team had over 100 different college coaches attend the two games! The team has qualified for the ECNL National Playoffs in Seattle and will look to get back to the final four after last year’s third place finish.
’03 Hawks punched their ticket to the DA National Playoffs with a 3-0 in Minnesota. Goals by Sam Woods and two ’04s, Erika Peake and Abby Zugay were enough to combine with Ana Pierce’s shutout. Their qualification helps the Hawks send all of their oldest age groups to the season ending National Playoffs for the 5th year in a row.
